Not far from where we were staying, along a small alley we found a little local bar. It was very different from tourist bars nearer the centre of town and along the riverfront. There were a few old locals sitting around and that was it - not a tourist in site. The bar sold beer, various Asian whiskies and Chinese herbal medicinal alcohol. The barmaid was great and helped us navigate our way through the Chinese alcohol - well, it was medicinal!
